I take a cross-discipline approach to art media, using a wide variety of materials and techniques. I enjoy sculpting, casting, wirework, painting, foam carving, woodwork, paper manipulation, costuming and needlework, as well as research and concept design. I’m always eager to learn new techniques for improving my ability to make expressive puppets and atmospheric sets, with a high degree of detail. I’ve used stop-motion filming processes to better understand the needs required for puppets and sets within a production. My history in the engineering field has taught me the value of accurate documentation of work progression, and the importance of completing projects on time in a fast-paced production environment.
